  • Who is Appy Fleet designed for?
    Appy Fleet is designed for companies with fleets of any size to track the performance of their fleet drivers, reduce driver risk and improve duty of care for their employees.
  • What is Appy Fleet?
    Combining the traditional features of traditional hardware-based fleet telematics with the latest Smartphone technology, Appy Fleet allows Fleet Managers to track their vehicles without the need to have costly downtime or hardware costs through the use of an app instead of a telematics unit.
  • How does Appy Fleet work?
    Connecting your phone with the Bluetooth found in your vehicle, Appy Fleet uses GPS signal to pin point drivers on a mapping system, providing real-time driving updates to the Fleet Manager Portal.
  • Is it really free?
    Appy Fleet is completely free for you to use - however many vehicles or drivers you manage. We’re committed to always having a highly functional free version of Appy Fleet available, and will always let you know if we plan to make any changes.
  • How do you manage my data?
    Your data is securely managed in-house. We do not share the data collected through Appy Fleet with any 3rd-party.
  • What are the terms and conditions?

  • How does the app record journeys?
    Appy Fleet uses telematics technology which measures acceleration, braking and swerving. Once the app is downloaded and paired it will transmit your data via Bluetooth to the Fleet Manager Portal every time a driver makes a journey. Drivers will be able to check their score and ranking after each journey made via the app.
  • How much data does the app use when running?
    While the data use may vary dependent on the type of smartphone you are using, the app uses between 10kb and 20kb of data per hour, and shouldn’t equate to more than 2.5mb per month.
  • How accurate is the GPS via the app?
    The accuracy of GPS will depend on the type of smartphone you have.
  • Does the app continue to record in areas of low signal?
    When driving through an area of low signal the data recorded will remain on the phone. Then the next time the phone has signal, or is connected to the internet, the journey will update on the app.
  • What phones are compatible with the app?
    Smartphones running Android version 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or higher, and iOS 8.2 or higher. We also have a Windows app which your drivers can use if needed, although it is an older version of Appy Fleet. Windows phones will need to run Windows 10 Anniversary Edition or higher. We are working on a new version of the Windows app which will be released soon.
  • What if some vehicles don’t have Bluetooth?
    We have a number of aftermarket Bluetooth solutions available, please email for more information.
  • Will Appy Fleet work abroad?
    Yes, but make sure the phone you are using has necessary data built for international roaming.
